How a featured story in the Dallas Morning News led to a small custom fabrication order that evolved into a complete OEM manufacturing partnership that lasted for more than 20 years. In early 2002 a reporter from the Dallas Morning News called GO Industries. He said he wanted to do a story on small business. The story would be about Go industries and would appear in the business section of the paper. In 2002, this was an exciting idea since almost everyone received and read the newspaper (The printed kind – delivered to your door). A young Bob Orth Jr, a high school senior and newspaper carrier of the year winner in 1977, was more than happy to to accept the offer knowing that a story in the Dallas Morning News was a huge opportunity for free advertising and would likely lead to sales.
